Since childhood, I have been photographing life, mostly just to record the moment for memory’s sake – at first my pets, siblings and friends, then later, my children and grandchildren.  Then, about 10 years ago, driven by the desire to make perfect, beautiful, amazing images, I bought a serious camera and took some courses (and bought lots of books).  In 2004, I opened my own portrait studio, K. Weatherwax Photography, and there’s been no looking back.  The studio is now located in Delphi, Indiana - a quaint, historical town of generous, friendly people. I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America and Professional Photographers of Indiana, organizations that provide resources, education, and a network of successful veteran photographers who share what they know and what they do.

One happy note:  Amanda Hamaker is the Business Manager for K. Weatherwax Photography.  Amanda, a graduate of the School of Management at Purdue University, is smart and organized and keeping the books in order.  Oh, one other thing - Amanda is my daughter and the mother of two of my precious grandchildren.
